STL's DeadDriveFast has just released their EP entitled Solstice of the Soul!  If you'd like to hear a couple of the singles from the disc, click here!

I know that we've been saying this CD is coming soon for a long time, but I think that we're finally going to see After The Haunting Silence by Kenny James in November!  Stay tuned for more details!

The followup to chapter seven's 2003 self-titled debut is finally available for purchase!  Intrathoracic features nine new songs, and can be heard by clicking here or visiting the band's website!  Also, look for new show dates, and the video for their single "When the Tape Runs Out!"

New MWB artists Failingravity have released their debut CD Tainted on Indie label Wounded Records!  To hear what these guys sound like, or to purchase their CD, click here!  Also, be looking for a review of the CD!

Jassy Grazz has a new live CD available, entitled 'Neckbreaka'!  The band was able to premiere a few tracks on 103.9 FM (South Bend, IN) and celebrated the release with a listening party at the Dandelion in Plymouth, IN! See the band's website for more details!

On 10/23, STRIKKEN released their debut CD Arcanum on Bare Metal Records! Long awaited, the CD is the result of 2 years of work, setbacks, and bloody determination by the band. Even losing their drummer midstream could not stop them from completing this project with the new drummer, Steve!

The 11-track CD is available at the band's website, or at their CD Release show, scheduled for Nov. 11th!  For more details on the show, see the band's website!

Frances Mai-Ling has released her newest CD, entitled Colors of the Sea! The release was celebrated with a release show on 10/25!  For more details, or to get a copy, go to her website!

Indy Faves The Common are releasing their newest CD Live Tonight! In celebration, they are going to be hosting a CD Release Show at The Melody Inn 11/11/05 with guests Stereo Deluxe and another band TBA! Check it out at their website, and plan to be there for the big show!

Brick Briscoe has released a brand spanking new solo effort Losing Weight (But Still
Heavy)
and he's offering it as a download for only $3!  The new release is both "edgy and intimate" and "gives you
the feeling of sitting through a really good film."  Check it out on Brick's website!

Bloomington, IN band Mobley has released their debut CD, entitled The Gentle Drug! It is an awesome CD that features great music and incredible beat-poet lyrics!  For more info, read MWB's review of the CD!

Featured MWB Reviews!

Ordinarily, our home page features are selected by choosing an artist or group of artists that have a new CD or big event coming up. In this way, we've been able to highlight some great artists and make you aware of awesome events! However, this month, I felt the need to raise awareness for two key features here at MWB! The first is MWB Radio - our great internet station where you can hear the best Indie music in the Midwest! More will be coming to highlight the radio in the next few weeks, so stay tuned! The second feature I want to draw attention to are the CD reviews that we do! Below, you will find information about CDs/artists that have been reviewed in the past month or so. In fact, the last 25 reviews! As more are completed, they will be added as well, so that the 25 most current will stay on the page for the rest of the month! If the feature is a hit, I will definitely consider leaving the featured reviews up a little longer!

Enjoy the reviews! Additionally, take some time to listen, and do all that you can to support Independent music! If you have comments or suggestions, drop me a line, and I'll do my best to consider your ideas and suggestions!
